Displayport to HDMI cable getting HOT! I am gaming, or trying to anywho, at 3840x2160@144hz between a 7900xtx and a TCL 6 series 55". After a while the screen will flicker black and lose signal for a second.
Understanding the Context
I thought maybe I had a weak cable so I bought another one that definitely handles 4k@144hz. The HDMI port (video portion) is just part of the Display Adapter driver. You won't see it separately in Device Manager. Usually part of the display adapter drivers is the driver for HDMI audio and that will show up, in Sound, Video and Game Controllers and in the Sound control panel.
